She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Bendele and Lucy Bendele (Rekart); her husband Eugene Gerdeman; her daughter Chris; and her siblings, Richard, Carl, Jerry, John, Paul, Salome, Marie and Catherine.

She is survived by: her sons, Todd Gerdeman of Fort Jennings, Jed Gerdeman (Joann) of Ottoville and Scott Gerdeman (Kathy Kline) of Fort Jennings; her grandchildren, Ashley Gerdeman of Lima, Amber Gerdeman of Kenton and Blake Gerdeman (Morgan) of Ottoville; her stepgrandchildren, Stacey Caverzan and Mark Miller; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Bryce, Kendall and Gabrielle; her great grandchildren, Levi, Clay and Drew Gerdeman; and her sisters-in-law, Joan Ricker (Robert) and Dorothy Lamy (Elton). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
