He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Broecker and Lauretta Broecker (Ellerbrock); and his siblings, Don, Louis, Charles Broecker, Ruth Grote and Katie McGraw.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Shirkey (Gary) of Columbus and Todd Broecker (Gretchen) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Brandon Shirkey, Abigail Casto (Craig), Cameron Shirkey (Kenzie Andrix), Elizabeth, Andrew and Alexander Broecker; his great grandchildren, Emersyn and Brady Casto; and his siblings, Paul Broecker (Jo), Jim Broecker (Jeanette) of Ft. Jennings and Betty Miller (Rich) of Ft. Jennings.
