He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence "Jim" Litmer and Rose Litmer (Baumer); his sister Dolores Fortman (Jim); his sister-in-law Shirley Litmer; and his in-laws, Paul Heitkamp (Stella), Julia Heitkamp and Melvin Heitkamp (Evelyn).
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Litmer (Heitkamp); his children, Mike Litmer (Dorothy) of Fort Recovery, Kathy Muhlenkamp (Jerry) of Russia, Ed Litmer of Coldwater, Larry Litmer (Stephanie) of Fort Recovery and Barb Schoenherr (Karl) of Fort Recovery; his siblings, Ken Litmer (Linda) of Monroe, Ron Litmer of Fort Recovery, Lavern Litmer (June) of Miamisburg and Linda Stout (Bill) of St. Henry; and his in-laws, Dorothy Chaney of Ft. Loramie, Wilfred Heitkamp (Barb) of St. Henry, Elmer Heitkamp of St. Anthony, Ruth Sutter of St. Henry, John Heitkamp (Millie) of Tipp City, Ron Heitkamp (Donna) of Coldwater, Ken Heitkamp of Sanford, NC, Jenny Homan (Howard) of St. Marys and Dan Heitkamp (Mary) of Coldwater. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home (308 S Wayne St, Fort Recovery, OH 45846). A Mass will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1689 St Joe Rd, Fort Recovery, OH 45846). A burial will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at the St. Joe Cemetery (1689 St Joe Rd, Fort Recovery, OH 45846).
