The passing of Verla Marie Roessner of Fort Recovery, Ohio leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 11, 2025 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Linville Gagle and Regina Gagle (Killian); her husband Linus L. Roessner; her son Joseph Roessner; her grandson Adam Roessner; her siblings, Ruth Prescott, Clara Mae McWay, Linville Gagle, Jr. and Calvin Gagle; and her in-laws, Esther Roessner, Alvin, Gertrude Roessner, Helen, Melvin Heitkamp, Harold Roessner, Irma, Ralph Wuebker, Norbert Roessner, Eugene Roessner, Charles Roessner, Anna Lee, Jack Kunkel, Joan Roessner, Joseph Roessner and Paul Wehrle.
She is survived by: her children, Ralph Roessner (Irene) of Fort Recovery, Jeff Roessner (Deb) of New Bremen, Laura Burke (Doug) of Portland, Dale Roessner (Diane) of Coldwater, Roger Roessner (Lisa) of Fort Recovery, Tim Roessner of Yorktown, Mary Corrigian (Baird) of Lillooet, British Columbia, Susie McCain (Steve) of Fort Recovery, OH, Linus Roessner (Laura) of Bellefontaine and Beth Guggenbiller (Aaron) of Fort Recovery; her sister Alice Jean Eichenhauer (Carroll) of Celina; and her siblings-in-law, Peg Bergman of Fort Recovery and Virgil Miller of Lima. She is also survived by her 45 grandchildren and 55 and counting great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home (308 S Wayne St, Fort Recovery, OH 45846). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (3512 St Peter Rd, Fort Recovery, OH 45846). A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at the St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery (3512 St Peter Rd, Fort Recovery, OH 45846).
In lieu of flowers and memorial gifts, the family request that memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Recovery Community Foundation in support of the Verla Marie Gagle Helping Hands Scholarship.
