She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Shoop and Mildred Beatty Shoop; and her husband Mark F Deerwester of John's Lutheran Church. She is survived by: her children, Laura "Laurie" Deerwester (Tina Probasco) of Columbus, Mark L Deerwester (Tammy) of North Baltimore, Michael J "Mike" Deerwester (Rachel) of Massillon, Matthew K "Matt" Deerwester (Melanie) of Hilliard, Robert "Rob" Newman (Chris) of Canton and Vicki Fallgren (Pete) of Oak Harbor; her grandchildren, Cassie Ford (Dan), Miranda Causey (Nicholas), Mark Jordan Deerwester, Casey Clark (Stephen), Grace, Amelia, Caroline Deerwester, Maria Rodriguez Hijo (Danny), Mason, Max, Michael Deerwester, Robbie, Olivia, Ayla, Quinn Newman, Joshua and Hayley Fallgren; her great grandchildren, Lucy, Nora Ford, Everly, Anna, Adeline Clark, Logan and Rowan Causey; her siblings, John Shoop (Nancy) of McComb, Rebecca Stearns (David) of Findlay, Laura Routson (Ron) of Findlay and Shirley Fausey (Wayne) of Fostoria; and her uncle Jim Beatty (Nancy) of Cardington.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday, July 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM and from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (201 W Fremont St, Fostoria, OH 44830). A burial will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McComb Union Cemetery (606-614 W Main St, McComb, OH 45858).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Presbyterian Church Deacon's Fund, the Fostoria Community Arts Council, the Fostoria Rail Preservation Society, or the Glass Heritage Gallery - all causes close to her heart.
