He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Lewis and Emma Kirby (Hardy); and his siblings, Eugene, Walter and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ann Moore of Tiffin; his son John D. Kirby Jr. of Fostoria; his stepson Kenneth Moore of Tiffin; and his grandsons, Terrell (Yesenia), Braden, Trenton Kirby and Josh.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (534 Lynn St, Fostoria, OH 44830). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
