With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John E. Nye of Fostoria, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. As John departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Nye and Mary Nye (Eckert); his wife Elizabeth Nye; and his sister Ruth Hubbard. He is survived by: his children, Ronald Nye (Angela) of Fostoria, David Nye, Tracy Smelser (Bil) of Fostoria and Shelley Simpson (Linda Parmelee). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
