Kathy left this world on October 13, 2025 at the age of 66, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wendell Byerly and Ruth Byerly (Plummer); her husband Robert Smith; her siblings, Ed Byerly and Karren Gibbs; and her stepdaughter B. J. Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Smith (Elizabeth) of Fostoria, Connie Shackelford (Vantoy) of Falcon, CO, Charles A. Smith (Jeanie) of Fostoria and Ryan Shepley of Denver, CO; her grandchildren, Erika Ann Smith, Chance Shackelford (Caitlin), Brendon Shackelford, Ethan Shackelford, Caleb Shackelford, Sarah Smith, Robert Smith, Noah Smith, Andrew Ramsey and Tanesha Ramsey; her sisters, Linda Roeber (Sam), Kristy Heldman (Jeff) and Tammy Dean (Tim); Peggy Binger (Mike). She is also survived by two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home (407 N County Line St, Fostoria, OH 44830). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
