She was predeceased by: her parents, Ramon Garcia and Guadalupe Garcia (Martinez); and her sister Gloria Schoonover. She is survived by: her husband Robert J. "Bob" Welch III; her daughter Sarah Welch; and her siblings, Louis Hasso, Sr., Joseph Garcia (Marilyn), Loretta Wischmeyer (Ron), Raymond Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Isabel Castle (Rick) and Hortencia Adams.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
