Robert leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robert’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Robert will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hummel and Frances Hummel (Allen); his siblings, James "Bud" Hummel and Mildred Smith; his father-in-law David Wash; and his sister-in-law Lisa Basinger.
He is survived by: his wife Beth Ann Eash-Hummel; and his children, Tonya Drown (Rodney) of Republic and Robert Hummel, Jr. (Melanie) of Gloucester, Virginia.. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hoening & Son Funeral Home - Fostoria (133 W Tiffin St, Fostoria, OH 44830). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
