With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Shirley Ann Yerkes of Fostoria, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her mother Wanda Lee Kirkendall (Cortson); her husband Steven Yerkes; her son Nicholas Gilbert Massie; her father Rev. Russel Kirkendall; her brother Rev. Jack Lamar Kirkendall; and her niece Alicia Dawn Kirkendall.
She is survived by: her daughters, Judena Cathleen Pitts (McDermand) of Gibsonburg, Dorenda Colleen McDermand-Conn (Damon) of Chagrin Falls and Samantha Pauline Cooper (Scott); her daughter-in-law Amber (Massie); and her siblings, Andrew Phillip Kirkendall (Kay) of Virginia Beach, VA and Judy Fowler (Kirkendall) (Gerald). She is also survived by grandchildren and almost 2 dozen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home (407 N County Line St, Fostoria, OH 44830). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
