He was predeceased by : his parents, William P. Skaggs and Ruby V. Farnham Skaggs; and his siblings, Elaine Long, Kathy Skaggs, Virginia Skaggs, Barbara Wilcox, Rosemary Harrison and Robert.

He is survived by : his wife Brenda Fleming; his siblings, David Skaggs of Chillicothe, Lou Skaggs (Ann) of Chillicothe, Kenneth Skaggs (Jenny Seymour) of Chillicothe, Wayne Skaggs (Dianna) of Chillicothe, Maxine Cochenour (Calvin) of Bartow, FL, Nancy Rhodes (Dale) of Gulfport, MS and Joy Martin (Bryan) of Chillicothe; and his pet Lucky. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
