He is survived by : his wife Marlene Hess; his stepson Robert "Danny" Smith of Frankfort; his daughter Lisa Carson of Columbus; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Kale, Layton Smith, Brenae Edwards, Lavier, Leilanni and Nevaeh Barnett; and his sister Rhonda Dawson (Gary).
