We announce the death of Carlos E. Smittle of Franklin, Ohio, who passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 70. Carlos will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Smittle and Merna Smittle; his grandson Trace Kristopher Farve; and his brother-in-law Buddy Rowland. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Smittle; his children, Carnita Jo Farve (Kris), Candy Lynn Norris (Tom), Katelyn Elizabeth Smittle and Christopher Stephen Smittle (Leida); his grandchildren, Cody Farve and MaKayla McGinnis; his great grandchildren, Jeremy, Gunner and Eli Farve; his siblings, Carlin Smittle (Vivian) and Caren Rowland; his mother-in-law Sharon Bryson; his nephews, John Smittle (Chelsea), Stephen Smittle (Melissa), Chance Rowland (Kristal) and Billy Bryson; and his niece Elizabeth Rowland.
