She was predeceased by: her father Lonnie Carpenter; her daughter Vickie Pennington; and her brother L. C. Carpenter. She is survived by: her husband Timothy Morningstar; her children, Debbie Buchanan (Jack), Jimmy Pennington and Leada Friend (Mike); and her brother Larry Carpenter. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
