He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Edward and Carrie Barnthouse (Patrick); and his siblings, Lauren, Shirley Moser and Mary Deskins.

He is survived by: his wife Marilynn Barnthouse (Adams); his children, Frederick Barnthouse Jr., Cari Angela Slusser (Jay) and Ronald Barnthouse (Billie Jo); his grandchildren, Courtney, Christi, James, Matthew, Josh, Demi, Rohan, Zach and Allison; his great grandchildren, Braxton, Cooper and Trinity of Moomoo, A. J.; his stepson Jayson Alexander (Alissa); his stepgrandchildren, Alison and Sammy; and his siblings, Hagar Barnthouse and Catherine Hawks. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
