He was predeceased by: his father William Nicholas; and his parents-in-law, John and Lillian Riley. He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his children, James, Jr. (Roberta) and Debra Romanowski (Steven); his grandchildren, Cassandra, Justin Nicholas (Nora) and Paige Romanowski; and his siblings, Pauline Tinker, Marlene Baker (Cliff), Jack (Linda) and Nick Nicholas (Lynda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
