He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Dougherty and Carma Dougherty (Bowlin); and his siblings, Wilma Phillips, Dora Ratliff, Laverne Long, Winfred, Wendell, Wilburn, Larry, Gary and Lowell Dougherty.

He is survived by: his wife Vonda Dougherty (Crase); his sons, Brian (Jess) of Columbus and Devin (Miranda) of Franklin; his siblings, David Dougherty (Ginger), Thomas Dougherty (Vicki), Darrell Dougherty (Barbara), Lavonne Schuler and Kathy Stamper (Vick); and his granddaughters, Claira of Columbus and Glorianna of Franklin.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (1357 E 2nd St, Franklin, OH 45005). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Woodhill Cemetery (6228 Hamilton-Middletown Rd, Franklin, OH 45005).
