He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anson Steve Dowd I and Elsia (Sager); his wife Anne; his daughters, Dona (Mark) and Kathy (Andy); his grandchildren, Megan, Emily, Katie and Max; his nieces and nephews, Anson Steve III, Karen, Ray and Melanie; his brother Anson Steve II; his sisters-in-law, Lois Dowd and Carol Feck; and his niece Ann Dowd Thornberry.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers a contribution be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association of Dayton.
