She was predeceased by: her parents, Ada "June" Lamb (Soard) and Earl Jasper Lamb; her brothers, Mike Lamb and Earl "Lucky" Lamb; and her pet Howie.

She is survived by: her husband Leroy Carpenter; her children, Kimberly Marshall (Charles) and Rodney Carpenter (Cassandra Tanner); her grandson Timothy Robinson (Paige); her great grandchildren, Destiny, Audrianna and Tate; her siblings, Kitty Maggard (Pastor James), Kathy Apple (William "Butch"), Gary Lamb and Johnny Lamb (Wonnet); and her pet Hooch. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
