She was predeceased by: her parents, William Orville "Bud" and Reith May Thompson (Allen); and her daughter Jennifer. She is survived by: her sister Marla K. Parsley; her husband Robert Lee Taylor; her children, Kim Scott (James) and Rob Newburg (Cathie); her grandchildren, Alonzo, Aqualla and Danielle; her stepchildren, Michelle Taylor, Sandra Lakes (John), Alissa Sebald and Robert Taylor II; and her stepgrandchildren, Rose, Jennifer, Gavin, Korinna and Morgan. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

Sandy departed this world on May 11, 2026, at the age of 87, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.
