He was predeceased by: his parents, D. Gordon McDaniel and Jessie Catherine McDaniel (Flynn); his wife Minetta Kay McDaniel; his son Kevin McDaniel; and his siblings, Martha Royster (George), Donald G. McDaniel (Lucy) and K. Herschel McDaniel (Virginia).
He is survived by: his children, Michelle R. Fowler (Darin) and Gordon R. McDaniel (Beverly); his brother Felix C. McDaniel (Jan); his grandchildren, Zach Fowler (Rebecca), Josh Fowler (Emily), Nick McDaniel, Hope McDaniel and Isaiah McDaniel; and his great grandchild McKenna Fowler. He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
