He was predeceased by: his parents, Oren Glenn Avey (Daniel) and Edna Mae Avey (Hawkins); his siblings, Phyllis Cromley, Thomas Avey, Mildred Lackey, Mary Downing and Charles David Avey; his son-in-law Tracy Beale, Sr.; and his close friend Maxwell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Victoria Beale of Nashport, Elizabeth Jerome of Fort Myers, FL, Michelle Burger (Ryan) of Peoria, Arizona. and Renee Steinbrunner (Jon) of Beavercreek; his stepson Zachary Gudorf (Sarah) of Dayton, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Alexandria Jones (Kevin) of Gahanna, Drew Ratzel (Victoria) of Nashville, TN, Bradley Ratzel (Chad) of Harrison, MI, Ally Ratzel of Dayton, OH, Tracy Beale (Cailyn) of Athens, Daisy Beale of Columbus, Laci Jerome of Brookville, Tegan Burger and Brynna Burger of Peoria; his great grandchildren, David and Remi Jones; his sister-in-law Karen Avey; Joshua Beale (Lana) of Heath, Ohio.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vensil & Chute Funeral Home (110 W 3rd St, Frazeysburg, OH 43822). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
