In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Rick leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Rick may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Gilson and Erma Gilson (Gump); and his sisters-in-law, Gail "Muffy" Gilson and Linda Edgington. He is survived by: his wife Jan; his siblings, Mick Gilson of Garrettsville, OH, Nickey Gilson of Streetsboro, OH and Vicki Hunter of Minnesota; and his brothers-in-law, Tom Edgington (Rhonda) and Al Edgington (Sharon). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church (8764 Martinsburg Rd, Mt Vernon, OH 43050).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Rick's memory to the Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department.
