He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Sr. Gwin and Helen Gwin (Smith); his wife Clare L. Johnston; his son Charles "Chuck" Gwin; and his sisters, Shirley Duncan and Janet Gwin.

He is survived by : his son Jim; his daughter-in-law Edith Gwin of Forest Hill, MD; his daughter Laura; his son-in-law Amit Dhavale of Fairlawn; his grandsons, Matt, Josh, Jimmy Gwin, Indy and Silas Dhavale; his brother George; his sister-in-law Fran Gwin of Wooster; and his friend Sharon.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
