He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Emalie Fitzpatrick. He is survived by: his daughters, Stacie Cremeans (Wayne "Buford" Scanlan), Jodi Thorpe (Kris) and Julie McFarland (Kenny); his grandchildren, Paul Cremeans (Jayne Pinella), Kierra Dye (Cameron Rowland) and Dalton Dye (Leila); his great grandchildren, Makenzie, Camden and Callahan; his aunt Betty Castle; his pets, Miss Kitty and Big Boy; his caregiver Julia; and his friends, Lexi and Susan. He is also survived by family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Butch's honor to the VA Central Ohio Healthcare System or Gentiva Hospice.
