She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Taylor and Nellie Schaffer Taylor; her husband Harold Eugene "Sonny" May; her son Eugene Russell May; her granddaughter Taylor Jo Butler; her siblings, Pete Taylor (Joyce), Roger Lee Taylor, Lloyd Taylor, Leora Griffith (Raymond), Clara Daugherty and Beverly Marenelli (Wally); her parents-in-law, Ruth May and Carl May, Jr.; and her brother-in-law Roger May.

She is survived by: her children, Janet Butler (Rich) of Freeport, Vince May (Tammy) of Cadiz and Albert May of Freeport; her grandchildren, Amanda May (Chaun), Tara May Miller, Mariah Chura (Bryce), Snydell Collins (Jack), Chavon Yoder (Dave), Derek Boreman (Mellisa), Jamey Boreman (Kara), Travis Butler, Trace Butler (Kiera), Kyle May (Allie), Ryan May (Tammy) and Randy Marder (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Issac Kitchens, Little Jamie Miller, Addison Boreman, Cole Boreman and Ellia Williams; her brother Jesse Taylor (Linda); and her sisters-in-law, Judith Tilman and Sandy May Tegowski. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Koch Funeral Home (216 High St, Freeport, OH 43973). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Freeport Church (222 High St, Freeport, OH 43973).
