She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry E. Birkholz and Delores Birkholz (Waters); her parents-in-law, Helen and Joe Lauer; and her brothers-in-law, Joe, Jim Lauer, Pat Colgate and Dan Hughes.
She is survived by : her friends, Denny, Linda, Mike, Shari, Bob and Cheryl; her husband John Lauer; her children, Erika Williams (Eric), Monica Brigle (Joey) and Joshua Lauer; her grandchildren, Hampton, Eric, Julia Williams, Landon, Lainey, Libbey Brigle, Joshua, Jayson, Jessica and Jordyn Mittower; her siblings, Charles Birholz and Kathleen Lilli (Nick); her sisters-in-law, Judi Hughes and JoAnne Colgate; and her daughters, Amber Root, Kourtney Jared, Brandi Carter and Tiffany McClain. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
