She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ireland and Evelyn Ireland (Swedersky); her husband Richard "Dick" Houghtaling; her sisters, Jacqueline A. Winkle (Kenneth) and Marcia R. Reed (Duane); and her son-in-law Doug Gallagher.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah S. Gallagher of Fremont, OH, Diane F. Houghtaling of San Diego, CA, Dixie D. Haley (David) of Lambertville, MI, David R. Houghtaling (Cindi) of Findlay, OH and Denise S. Leach (John) of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
