He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chester Crutchfield and Lenore Crutchfield (Lucious); his spouse Shirley Starks; his daughter Amber Langey (Timothy) of Fremont, Ohio; his grandchildren, Lincoln Scott Langley and Remmington Jeff Langley; and his siblings, Sharlene Crutchfield, Melvin Crutchfield, Vanessa Simmons, Michelle Crutchfield and Omar Young.

The family would suggest the memorial contributions be made in his memory be made to Sweetwater Rock Ministries in Monroe, Michigan.

He and I traveled multiples states together, from Michigan to California, preaching the gospel and advancing the Kingdom of God. He was always a tremendous blessing whenever he preached at my local churches over years. I will miss his wit and laughter and his heart of love. We all loved Chet but God loved him more. You have my prayers and sympathy.”
