He was predeceased by : his parents, Antonio Herrera and Maria Herrera; and his brother Abel Herrera. He is survived by : his wife Lisa Herrera (Tuckerman) of Clyde; his sons, Salvador Herrera (Denise) of Fremont and Michael Herrera of Bellevue; his step-daughters, Christina Rufer of Green Springs and Andrea Brown (Andrew) of Clyde; his grandchildren, Chloe, Vincent, Whitney, Trevor, Loreli, Tayla and Arraya; his siblings, Elva King of Green Springs, Rene Herrera (Esmeralda) of Green Springs, Jamie Herrera (Alma) of Fremont and Esther Garza (Hector) of Green Springs; his father-in-law Ronald Tuckerman of Fremont; and his sisters-in-law, Debra Thompson of Clyde and Dianna Humphrey of Fremont. He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial donations may be made in Daniel's honor or to Daniel's family to be donated to a Leukemia Foundation which assists in prescription costs.
