He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Dignan (Hemminger) and Kenneth Dignan; his former wife Rhonda Kim Dignan (Gilbert); and his brother Junior Dignan. He is survived by: his fiancé Corliss Johnson; his son Joshua Dignan; his daughter-in-law Leah Colvin; his grandchildren, Haylee Williamson and Seth Dawson; his brother James Smith; his sisters-in-law, Jane Baily-Smith (Benton) and Marlena Jo Smith (Taylor); his sister Twila Leach (Dignan); and his brother-in-law Brian Ellis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to the American Cancer Society in Dave's memory.
