She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose R. Flores and Guadalupe Flores (Perales); and her sister Yolanda Miller. She is survived by: her husband Jim Scherf of Fremont; her son James "Jimmy" Scherf (Lindsey) of Duffield, Virginia; and her siblings, Thelma Stanley of Fremont, Jose "Pepe" Jr. Flores (Laurie) of Derby, Fernando Flores of Bedford, Victor Flores (Elisa) of Clyde and Rene Flores (Amy) of Fremont. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
