He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Brandt and Esther Brandt (Schneider); his sister Marie Miller (Arthur); and his siblings-in-law, Vincent Grine, Robert Gillig (Imogene "Jean") and Carolyn Gillig.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Brandt of Fremont, OH; his daughters, Rebecca Hoffman of Fremont, OH, Cynthia Light II (Tom) of Fremont, OH, Kathryn Brubaker (Scott) of Dundee, MI, Laura Brown (Bill) of Paris, OH, Diane Rosone (Marc) of Overland Park, KS and Susan Harvey (Jeff) of Clyde, OH; and his siblings, Berneda Grine of Fostoria, OH and Leonard Brandt (Terri) of Traverse City, MI. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory (425 E State St, Fremont, OH 43420). A Mass will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (550 Smith Rd, Fremont, OH 43420).
Memorials can be made in Ed's honor to Sacred Heart Church or Bishop Hoffman Catholic Schools.
