We are sad to announce that on October 25, 2022, at the age of 93, Geraldine J. Shimer (Fremont, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Durdel and Pearl Durdel (Nuppenau); her husband Dale Shimer; her sister Kathleen M. Otermat; and her son-in-law Gary Perkins.
She is survived by: her children, Marie E. Perkins of Fremont, OH, Mark A. Shimer (Peggy) of Fremont, OH, Susan K. Hoffman (John) of Fremont, OH, Dinah L. Veler (Emerson) of Laurinburg, NC, David D. Shimer (Kim) of Wesley Chapel, FL and Steven A. Shimer (Diana) of Fremont, OH. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three nieces.
Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, Hospice of ProMedica Hospital or North Coast Concert Band.
