He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Howard Allen and Violet Yost (Wintersteen); and his stepmother Katherine Stotz-Yost. He is survived by: his wife Maureen Yost (White) of Fremont; his grandchildren, Neko Star Yost-Moore, Tian Blake Yost-Moore, Sava Allen Yost-Moore, Arion Axios Konstas Yost, Easton Joseph Yost, Lena Kate Yost and Hayes Anthony Yost; his close friend Sir Buckley White; and his sister Sue Lambright (Kandy Conley) of York, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame or Terra State Music Department.
