John leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew John will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Urban Beier and Mary Beier (Hartman); and his wife Ellen L. Grindstaff. He is survived by: his sons, Eric Beier of Newark, OH and Kevin Beier (Macy) of Fremont, OH; and his grandchildren, Maxwell, Addison and Jack.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home (425 E State St, Fremont, OH 43420). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials can be made in his honor to his grandchildren or the Special Olympics.
