He was predeceased by: his parents, George Franklin and H. Pauline Carlo (Stemen); and his former wife Barbara McCartney. He is survived by: his wife Verna Young; his children, David Brian Carlo (Stacey) of Lancaster, OH, Diane Marie Norris (David) of Westlake, OH and Debra Leann Carlo of The Woodlands, TX; his grandchildren, Emily Rhodes (Seth), Drew Carlo (Courtney), Austin Norris, Anika Norris and Brian Carlo; and his great grandchildren, Noah Rhodes and Sydney Rhodes.
