He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Berger and Helen Berger (Stokes); his son Doug Berger; his grandson Tony Berger; and his siblings, Nelson Berger Jr., David Berger, Doris Miller, Evelyn Hoffman, Ruth Watson and Phyllis Nitschke.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Berger; his sons, Roger Berger, Ron Berger (Kathy Gegorski) and Dan Berger (Chris Beeker); his daughter-in-law Chris Berger (Kosman); his sister Carol Gage; his grandchildren, Geoff (Sarah Grupp), Andy, Sandy, Justin Berger, Stephanie Durairaj (Josh), Kayti Berger and Carson Berger (Kylee); and his great grandchildren, Nicko, Caleb, Layla, Elie Berger, Teghan Schneider, Kayd Berger, Royce Faulds, Irysa Berger, Sophia and Zoe Durairaj.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory (425 E State St, Fremont, OH 43420).
In lieu of flowers and gifts memorials can be made to Sandusky County Communities Foundation, Sandusky County Habitat for Humanity or Heartland Hospice.
