With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert L. Schmidt (Fremont, Ohio), born in Blissfield, Michigan, who passed away on December 10, 2020 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert L. Schmidt to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred J. Schmidt and Viola C. Schmidt (Bourbina); his brother Richard; and his sister-in-law Barbara. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Gabel; and his children, Mark Schmidt of Houston, TX, Mary Lou Jay (Michael) of Fremont, Christopher Schmidt (Suzanne) of Columbus, Neil Schmidt of Clyde, Eric Schmidt (Rhonda) of Fremont, Paul Schmidt (Angie) of Fremont and Patrick Schmidt of Clyde. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 10 nieces and nephews.
Those attending are required to wear a mask to enter the church and are asked to please adhere to social distancing.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Croghan Street Garden Club of St. Joseph Church fund.
