She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Gill and Viriginia Gill (Nickel); and her brothers, Ken, Larry and Carl Gill.
She is survived by: her husband Sam Awad; and her stepchildren, Dina Awad (Kim) of Kettering, Ramy Awad (Lora) of Urbana and Col. Joseph Awad (Kendall) of Colorado. She is also survived by four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two nieces and five nephews.
Memorial contributions in honor of Ruth Awad may be made to a charity of one's choice.
