We are sad to announce that, on April 19, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Frederick Schroeder (Gahanna, Ohio), born in Hillsboro, Ohio. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Frederick Schroeder to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Jane (Skidmore) and Louis Ernest Schroeder; his wife Georgia; his siblings, Don, Jane and Clara "Sis"; his niece Patty; and his stepdaughter Debbie Susil.

He is survived by: his brother Bob; his stepdaughters, Diane Cossin (Rick Crane) and Robin Dudley (Bruce); his grandchildren, Angie Platt (Mike), Matthew Cossin, Kelly Cossin, Jason Dudley, Steven Cossin (Ashley) and Sarah McKenzie (Aaron); his great grandchildren, Breana, Madison, Kayla Cossin, Austin Harrington, Cameron and Jayden Cossin; and his great great grandchild Keilani. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wesley Ridge Retirement Community Hospice, who the family thanks for their awesome care of Fred.

“Fred and my father were briefly suitemates at the Barnes at Wesley Ridge. My father had Alzheimer’s. When he’d wake up in the middle of the night, my father would be confused and frightened. Fred would kindly reorient my dad, They were both former military (yes?) and would talk about their adventures. After my father passed, Fred was so kind to my mother (who also lives at Barnes). Fred was such a good soul.”
