He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Gipson and Hester Riley; his sister Ruth Hodgson; his former wife Marylu Gipson; his daughter Pamela Campbell; and his granddaughter Sarah Campbell.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Marie Barnes Gipson; his children, Richard Mark Gipson (Diana) and Julie Lynn Yascavage (Rich); his stepchildren, Stephen Scott Pawel (Jody), Julie Lynne Ritchie (John) and Kelly Jeanne Hawes (Tim); and his stepbrother Jack Barnes (Diane). He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society and Cat Welfare Association.
