She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Carsey and Ellen Lucille Carsey; her husband Harold L. Steele; and her brothers, Joe, Charles, Jerry and Walt.
She is survived by: her children, Julia Burnett (Nathan), Kristina Mulligan (Tim) and Charles "Chuck" Post (Ali); and her brothers, Barney and Harry "Dave" Carsey. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
