He was predeceased by: his parents, Max McGiffin and Cecile Tyson. He is survived by: his wife Frances Dorene McGiffin (King); his sons, Mark McGiffin (Becky) of Howard, Ohio, John McGiffin (Laura) of Toddville, Iowa and Matt McGiffin (Kelly) of Smithfield, Virginia.; his grandchildren, Briana Lard (Eric), Ashleigh McGiffin, Aaron McGiffin (Emily), Samanda Franks (Austin) and Christopher McGiffin; his great grandchildren, Kaya, Ember and Wrenna; and his siblings, Gerry Whitacre, Bill Whitacre, Carol Conley and Tammy McMahan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
