He was predeceased by: his parents, David H. Shockney and Reba Lucille Shockney (Odle); and his spouse Jimmie L. Shockney (Vonville). He is survived by: his brother Richard Shockney; his son Andy; his daughter-in-law Robin Shockney (Wentzel) of Gahanna, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Shockney and Eric Shockney.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the King Avenue United Methodist Church (299 King Ave, Columbus, OH 43201). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (498 N 625 W, Farmland, IN 47340).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dr. Thomas D. Shockney Memorial Fund at King Avenue United Methodist Church, 299 King Avenue, Columbus, OH 43201.
