He was predeceased by: his parents, Beecher Adkins and Opal Adkins (Whitt); his daughter Amanda Lynn "Mandy" Adkins; his grandson Austin Vertrees (Glaspie Jennings); his brothers, Paul and Madison Adkins; and his parents-in-law, Raymond and Tina Doane.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his daughter Tami Lee; his grandson Colton Lee; his great grandchild Brayln Crabbe; and his brother Michael Adkins (Cathy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel (637 OH-61, Sunbury, OH 43074). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at the Cheshire Cemetery (3217 Cheshire Rd, Delaware, OH 43015).
