It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita McCartney of Galion, Ohio, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Floyd and Ellen Lucille "Lucy" Floyd (Snyder); her husband Duane E. McCartney; her brother Joseph C. Floyd; and her great grandchild Malory Metz.
She is survived by: her children, Brian McCartney of Mansfield, Brett McCartney (Kelly) of Galion, Craig "Joe" McCartney (Leesa) of Galion and Denise DeLong of Crestline; her grandchildren, Alyssa Billman (Bo), Hailey DeLong, Hunter Snyder (Bobbie), Dillon McCartney (Danielle), Rachel DeLong, Payton Metz (Jon) and Drake DeLong (Manali); her great grandchildren, Shaelee Hensley, Braedy Billman, Roman Metz, Brody Billman, Kai McCartney, Bryce Billman and Quinn Stanley; and her sister Mary Ellen Lawlor (John) of Pennsylvania.
