He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Black and Evelyn Black (McCamman); his spouse Sherley "Betsy" Black (Eaton); his mother-in-law Elizabeth Eaton; and his nephew Zachary Ludwig.
He is survived by: his children, Dylan Black (Beth) and Elizabeth Black; his grandchildren, Brayden (Lexi), Isaac, Trevor and Brooklyn; his brother Howard Black; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Ludwig (Doug), Terry Seymour (Bill) and Robin Dye (Jeff); his sons, William Dunford Jr. and Paul Salvatori; and his close friend Sawyer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and his loyal.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gompf Funeral Service - Galion Chapel (303 Portland Way N, Galion, OH 44833). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
