He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Koons and Velma Koons (Korner); his wife Pat Koons; his siblings, Gene Koons and Donna Wade; his children, Diane Buckner and Glen "Chip" Koons Jr.; his grandson Nathan Buckner; and his stepchildren, Jeff, Jack Clum and Nancy Clum.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah DeWolfe and Jerry Koons; his stepsons, Paul and Mike Clum; his grandchildren, John Watson, Ken Watson, Meghan Steinhouse, Ronald Clum, Cachel Olmstead and Chelsea Clum; his sister Clara Bolander; and his daughter Terri Ross. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
